Sara Tye to speak at CIPR event in Swindon 

Sara Tye, founder and managing director of redheadPR, will talk at the Charted Institute of Public Relations South West (CIPR) event, The Value of Social Media - Working out the ROI, in Swindon on Thursday 4 September 2014.

Sara will be demonstrating how she and the redheadPR team have used social media and online content to enhance consumer engagement in recent PR campaigns.

Looking forward to the event, Sara said: "It is always good to share knowledge and insight at these events. I'm a great advocate of social media and take time to convince my clients of its benefits. Sara Tye, an award winning and top 500 international PR and voted ‘Green PR of London’ by the Evening Standard, founded redheadPR over ten years ago.

Sara is a passionate and motivational speaker, a writer, coach, mentor and trainer. She is a top BNI member and Director Consultant in the UK, on the advisory council of I AM WOMAN. Sara developed stakeholder relations in-house at Thames Water Utilities, headed up communications at Yellow Pages and spent three years managing the personal PR initiatives at home and abroad of its eminent founder, the late Dame Anita Roddick.

Sara took The Body Shop online – one of the first companies globally.

Client experience includes British Heart Foundation, Black Tower, Latina, S&A Foods, WHSmith, CDNOW.com, sports.com, Yell UK Web Awards, Carlton Interactive, and Sony.

Sara has experience of all forms of media, on and offline and has worked with most global outlets, from The Philippines Inquirer, to 60 Minutes Australia, to the Financial Times, through to Pamela Wallin live in Canada.

Sara built two previous PR agencies, running international brands from Packard Bell to Nokia, all with 360- degree stakeholder communication plans and online and social networking strategies.

She has a unique drive and sense of vision, whilst always being mindful of current cultures and dynamics. She has judged both the PRCA Awards and PR Week Awards and was a member of the PRCA Members and Marketing Committee.

Working in crisis situations and running campaigns such as the Ken Saro- Wiwa campaign against Shell at The Body Shop with some of the most senior global figures in politics, industry and journalism, working out of Glenys Kinnock’s office in Strasbourg.

She has also started and ran a Mexican restaurant, the family’s residential home for the elderly, a hotel in St Ives, Cornwall and studied management for six years.
