Grittleton House offers a warm welcome as it opens its impressive doors to brides and grooms-to-be

Brides and grooms-to-be will be delighted to hear that Grittleton House, a breath-taking privately owned Victorian Manor House, will be opening its doors to the public for an exclusive wedding experience on Sunday 22 July 2018.

The event, which takes place between 11am and 3pm, will provide the perfect opportunity for couples to explore the grade 2 listed building. The Shipp family, who currently own this magnificent house, are excited to welcome future brides and grooms to their home and encourage them to take their time soaking up the building’s beautiful interiors, sweeping double staircase and Italian sunken gardens. The house is surrounded by 37 acres of beautiful parkland and well-groomed lawns, providing an unspoilt backdrop for every occasion.

Emma Horrex, wedding and events coordinator for the estate, said: “This exclusive event will provide couples with the opportunity to really feel for themselves what makes Grittleton House such a remarkable wedding venue.

“Those who dream of a wedding comprising of elegance, grandeur and timeless charm will not be disappointed. We will be offering our expert advice to visitors on the day, so come & have a chat about your needs and desires and make the most of this fantastic opportunity.”

The experience will offer couples plenty of inspiration, with the manor’s selection of elegant and unique state rooms and cosy libraries and of course the fabulous orangery.  The house offers great flexibility and diversity, and is suited to a range of styles from traditional, to modern to vintage, there really will be something for everyone.

While the opulence and beauty of Grittleton House is abundantly clear in photos of the estate, visiting the venue when it is dressed for a wedding will provide those planning their big day with the chance to experience its awe-inspiring ‘wow factor’ for themselves.
