£1 million+ turnover Manchester electronics distributor put on market

A North Manchester-based distributor of wholesale electronics that turns over around £1 million per year is looking for a new owner. Proprietor Masuma Jesani has asked Greater Manchester-headquartered Blacks Business Brokers to market E-sunrise Distributors with a guide price of £149,950 for the business and the leasehold premises from which it operates.

Mrs Jesani's son established E-sunrise Distributors in 2003 and relocated the business to its current premises on Broughton Lane, Manchester, in 2017. The business sells a wide range of computer accessories, tools, toys and electronics to both retail and wholesale customers.

In 2016 the business turned over £1.5 million, a figure that fell to just under £1 million in 2017 as a result of health issues that have prompted Mrs Jesani to put the business on the market. Last year it made a gross profit of £162,000.

The majority of the company's business is transacted through an established trade customer base, online sales and its premises which includes a sales counter. It employs two full-time staff to fulfil orders.

E-sunrise Distributors operates from a ground-floor warehouse in Broughton Business Centre that incurs annual rent of £14,000 plus VAT. No business rates are currently payable at its premises.

Eve Pawsey, marketing facilitator at Blacks Business Brokers, said, "This business is well-established, profitable and has very strong lines of credit with its suppliers. This means it can supply really big orders without having an impact on its cash flow, and is able to hold a large amount of stock ready for next-day delivery. Itsbuying power also means it gets stock at great prices, giving it an impressive profit margin.

"The current premises benefits from low rent and no business rates, while being close to Manchester city centre, but because it's essentially able to fulfil orders from anywhere it could be relocated.  A new owner who was able to focus fully on the business could increase sales both to its existing database of customers and, if they introduced an outbound sales function, to a wide range of new customers."

All enquiries should be made to Blacks Business Brokers on 0333 370 0000, quoting reference 6333.
