Industry First IP52 AMRs - Increased Ability To Withstand Dust & Fluids
INDUSTRY FIRST IP52 AMRs WITH INCREASED ABILITY TO WITHSTAND DUST AND FLUIDS

Two new additions to the RARUK Automation Ltd MiR range of autonomous mobile robots are the first IP52 rated AMRs on the market, giving them increased ability to withstand dust particles and fluids. This allows them to be used in more challenging environments such as areas close to open, weather-exposed docking gates. Both AMRs – the MiR600 and MiR1350 - are also compliant with the highest safety standards, ISO3691-4. This attribute, combined with the new IP52 design, makes these models the safest, most stable, flexible and reliable AMRs currently available.

The MiR1350 is the new top-of-the range model, the most powerful AMR from MiR to date. With a payload of 1350kg (3000 lbs), this model, with its specially designed pallet lifters, enables heavy loads and pallets to be moved automatically at a speed of up to 1.2m/s to maximise the efficiency of logistics operations. It is therefore a safer alternative to traditional pallets lifters and trucks and, as it does not require any operating crew, staff can be deployed to more productive and rewarding tasks.

The second newcomer is the mid-range MiR600 for handling loads up 600 kg (1322 lbs) at speeds up to 1.2m/s. It is designed to autonomously pick up, transport and unload pallets which, in common with the entire MiR range, it does without any need to change existing facility design and layout. Implementation is fast and cost-effective, users simply download CAD files of the facility to the MiR or use its laser scanners to create a map.

Sophisticated navigation software on the MiR AMRs, combined with 3D cameras and 360° laser-scanning technology, replaces the need for wires, magnets and QR codes that are required by alternative robots. They safely manoeuvre around people and physical obstacles and automatically find the most efficient path to their destination and re-route around obstacles to avoid costly delays in the logistics process.

Both models are controlled with the intuitive MiR robot interface via a smartphone, tablet or PC and can be programmed without the need of previous experience. They are also easily integrated into any ERP system giving users the opportunity to create fully integrated automated solutions. With the ability to quickly and easily add different top modules and MiR600 and MiR1350 can be equipped with pallet forks, conveyors, a robot arm and other options to support a wide range of applications.
