TRUMPF News: Advanced Engineering Show 2021

 ADVANCED ENGINEERING, NEC, 3rdand 4thNovember 2021, Stand E60

Reliable, pioneering expertise in more than 50 areas of application

TRUMPF has developed and produced tools and systems for manufacturing industry for decades.  Thanks to this expertise, the company can provide solutions which have been tried and tested in industry and meet the needs of an extensive range of applications.

TRUMPF lasers, machines, power tools and power electronics are used for a diverse spectrum of components across all industries.  So, regardless of whether the requirement is for a reliable standard product or one that is custom made, TRUMPF can offer comprehensive advice to allow the customer to take full advantage of all production possibilities.

At this year's Advanced Engineering Show, TRUMPF will focus on e-mobility and 3D printing.

 E-mobility gathers pace

TRUMPF's rate of innovation for automotive engineering is high. Alongside the variety of materials used in the vehicle body and power train, the increasing trend towards electric vehicles represents a key field with many new applications. TRUMPF acts as a reliable partner to its automotive customers, from the initial idea in advance development to process-compliant component design, process development and the setup of the production system.

Thanks to its extensive industry expertise, TRUMPF helps automotive manufacturers and suppliers to get to grips with new technologies and drive their own products forwards. Apart from large-series production with machine tools and laser technology, the power tools from TRUMPF also play a key role in repair, tuning and customising work.

 Additive manufacturing

3D printing continues to shape the future of industrial production. Through additive processes, components are created from powder and light alone using 3D printers for metals. Highly productive laser processing machines enable innovative applications in the fields of coating and repair through laser metal deposition.

For additive manufacturing, TRUMPF provides solutions in both relevant laser technologies: laser metal fusion (LMF) and laser metal deposition (LMD). Depending on the application, it offers the right 3D printer or laser processing machine for the specific industrial manufacturing processes.  And for the industrialisation of 3D metal printing, TRUMPF also offers a complete solution comprising digitalisation, services and additive production systems.

Manual cutting of fibre composite

TRUMPF electric and battery-powered hand tools are available for a range of tasks to simplify work on construction sites and in manufacturing industry.  Featured at Advanced Engineering will be the TruTool FCN 250, the first nibbler for cutting fibre composite materials with no chips, delamination or fraying and with minimal dust.  The nibbler can be rotated 360° on the spot to give a clear view of the cutting line and is therefore ideal for processing curves and three-dimensional workpieces.
