Cardiff Riding School has been named as the British Horse Society's 2024 Approved Centre that has "made the greatest difference to their community."
The Society praised the school's "continued efforts to inspire and uplift individuals from all backgrounds and unwavering commitment to inclusivity, community engagement and personal development," calling it "instrumental in changing many lives."
Owned and operated by Cardiff Council, Cardiff Riding School is one of the last remaining local authority owned and operated riding schools in the UK.
Cabinet Member for Culture, Parks and Events, Cllr Jennifer Burke, said: "This well-earned award is a credit to everyone involved with Cardiff Riding School. The team give their all to support the school's clients and they should be very proud of this recognition."

Riding School Assistant Manager, Ann Peate was presented with the award by actor Martin Clunes who is the President of the British Horse Society, at Newbury Racecourse. Speaking about the award, she said: "With such tough competition it was an honour to win. Without the incredible team of staff, the wonderful horses we have and the support from The Friends of Cardiff Riding School, who tirelessly go more than the extra mile for our clients, staff and horses, it would not have been possible for us to achieve this award. We are truly grateful to everyone who supports us."
