Improvements are to be made to the play area at Maitland Park in Gabalfa.
The improvement works, which will take approximately 6 weeks to complete, will include:
- The installation of new play equipment.
- The installation of new safety surfacing.
- New seating.
- New litter bins.
Cabinet Member for Culture, Parks and Events, Cllr Jennifer Burke, said: "Access to good quality, local outdoor play facilities is really important and I'm sure these upgraded facilities will be welcomed by families living locally.
In order to accommodate the works, the play area will close to the public from 7thOctober. Work is expected to take approximately 6 weeks to complete, subject to weather conditions and any unforeseen circumstances.
The Council makes every effort not to carry out improvements to play areas during school holidays, however limited contractor availability means that in order to ensure the work is completed before Spring 2025, the play area will be closed during the coming October half-term. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.
