"Morgan never gives up. If you could bottle up his enthusiasm and determination and sell it, you would make a fortune."

These are the words of Police Inspector Jones about one of their Police Youth Volunteers with South Wales Police.

Morgan, 18, has been a Police Youth Volunteer for three years. He has his own personal challenges in the form of a disability, but refuses to allow this to hold him back or to stop him from volunteering and helping others.

Knowing that his disability could be a barrier to ever working within a policing environment, he conducted his own research establishing that there was an Officer with his disability working within a Neighbourhood Policing Team in the Metropolitan Police Service.

Morgan has great knowledge of South Wales Police and would also attend the stables and kennels on the weekend where he would work in ensuring that the Police Horses and Dogs were looked after.

Morgan never gives up, his determination is such that when he falls down he will always get up and carry on with a smile on his face. He has made numerous attempts to find employment within a policing environment narrowly missing out on a role within the Gwent Police Road Safety Partnership, is waiting on being considered for the Gwent Police apprenticeship scheme and most recently due to his perseverance secured a bank admin post with South Wales Police.

We wish Morgan the best of luck in his future endeavours.
