Cardiff Market re-opens for customers (and their dogs)
Cardiff Market re-opens today (12th April) with a range of stalls ready to safely welcome back customers and, as part of a new trial designed to attract more customers, their dogs.

Measures in place to ensure customer safety include:

·       a one-way system

·       social distancing measures.

·       a requirement to wear a mask.

·       hand sanitising stations.

A number of new stalls are also opening in Cardiff Market, including: Spirit Infusions; Casa Agape; and Bloomfield Handmade.

Stallholders of the Naked Vegan, Sarah and Chris Powney, said: “It has been a difficult year with all the uncertainty for businesses and customers, it is fantastic that we are opening Cardiff Market for everyone and great to see that pet owners can now bring their dogs into the market.

“The hard work that the market porters and Manager have done while in lockdown in getting Cardiff Market looking fresh and inviting and making sure everyone will be safe while they are shopping has been phenomenal.

“Many stall holders have also taken the opportunity during lockdown to revamp and upgrade their business, there will also be several new and exciting businesses opening within the Market to ensure there is something for everyone and Cardiff Market is at the heart of the city for shopping.  Above all it will be great to see all our fantastic customers again who will bring Cardiff Market back to life.”

Dog owners are asked to keep their pets on a lead at all times, and to notify a stallholder or member of the Market team immediately in the event of a dog fouling incident.

The Market toilets will be available for the public, with enhanced cleaning regimes in place.

The Market will be open from 8am-5pm, Monday – Saturday.
