Anchor Vans continue growth with new hires and site expansion

Reading-based van dealership, Anchor Vans, have put their foot firmly to the pedal as they expand their team with a number of key new hires, and continue with the development of their flagship Padworth site.

The company has enjoyed a sustained period of growth and recently announced the acquisition of three acres of adjacent land. Bringing the size of its Padworth site to five acres, development works on the new super site are already underway. Following on from the site expansion announcement, the company has recently recruited two new vehicle technicians and two full-time drivers.

Vehicle technician Andy Turner joined the company in June and was followed shortly by Jason Todd who joined the company in July, also as a vehicle technician. Prior to joining Anchor Vans, Andy and Jason both worked with vehicle repair and maintenance company Motest, also based in Reading. Having worked as qualified technicians for a number of years, Andy and Jason bring with them a wealth of relevant technical experience and valuable industry knowledge, which is vital for the company to continue to provide the highest standards of servicing in their Ford Approved service centre.

In October, Anchor Vans took on two additional full-time drivers, Jason Hanson and Stephen Sheen. The company is equipped with a large team of skilled drivers who are essential in helping to fulfil customer requirements in relation to transportation and logistics.

Speaking about the recent expansion and new appointments, Simon Joyce, Managing Director of Anchor Vans, said: “These are truly exciting times for Anchor Vans. We have a great team and our new recruits are a very welcome addition to the company. Our vehicle technicians enable us to achieve many of our operational goals, including and quite importantly, supplying the highest quality new and used vans at all times. Our van drivers are also invaluable. They help fulfil the movement of our vans around the country, delivering vehicles to new owners, collecting van purchases, collecting vehicles from auctions, and moving vehicles between sites.”

The recent expansion is a testament to the company’s resolve to strengthen its regional and national offering in the interests of its customers. The family-owned company boasts a high staff retention rate with numerous employees who have stayed with them for over 10 years, offering staff high-quality training and opportunities for career progression. Anchor Vans are award winners of the UK Van Dealer of the year and are a CarGurus Top Rated Dealer.
