Weenie Business Solutions is
hosting free training and coffee mornings to show how easy it can be to manage business
accounts using a digital app by Sage.
The first workshop, held on Saturday
18th March, was particularly successful at introducing the power of
digital accounting tools against other methods.
The next session, on Sunday 1st April between 10am-2pm at Weenie
Business Solutions (7 Kingsdown Orchard, Swindon, SN2 7RR), will include
further demonstrations of Sage’s applications, which start from just £5.00 a
month.
Free car parking is available. To book a place, please contact Jackie on jackie@weeniebusiness.co.uk or 01793
677 555.
Following the initial
workshop, Amelia Bishop, Director of Weenie Business Solutions, said: “Many
small and medium businesses are aware of HMRC’s expectations for the coming
years, but some are not. And some may feel very unsure about digital
accountancy apps. Sage really is accessible to all, and that’s why the team has
welcomed people to come and see it working for themselves.”
The government is currently
half-way through its five-year plan to make the whole tax landscape digital for
businesses. And last year, with a record total of 5.5 million private business
in the UK, Accountex
predicted that up to 90% will soon have cloud-based accounting packages.
According to a government policy
paper released on 8th March 2017, by April 2018,
most business owners with turnovers more than the VAT threshold — currently
more than £83,000 — will be expected to use the digital tax service.
The paper also estimates a
cost of £280 for each business to make the digital transition, making the free
advice from Weenie Business Solutions particularly important for sole-traders
and small businesses who may need to assess their accountancy needs.
The Sage workshops cover
five packages: Sage One Start, Sage One, Sage One Accounting, Sage One Payroll,
Sage 50 Accounts, Sage 50 Payroll and a free Sage Expenses App. Guests of the
initial workshop are welcome to attend again to learn more, and share their
new-found knowledge with first-time visitors.
