The Bangkok Lounge is competing in this year's
Asian Restaurant & Takeaway Awards (ARTA) and seeks the vote from loyal
patrons of its two restaurants.
The fine dining Thai restaurants, located in
Shefford and Harpenden, come recommended by the Metro Online and have now been
providing excellent cuisine for over 15 years, but are not resting on their
laurels. The Bangkok Lounge Group are set to launch a new website and online
takeaway and reservations service through www.chefonline.co.uk.
ARTA 2018 gives voters the opportunity to
celebrate British Asian cuisine by selecting the candidates for the prestigious
award, which is announced at the grand finale award ceremony in September at
The O2 InterContinental, London.
There is also a fantastic incentive for voters
as they will be entered into the ARTA grand prize draw to win a car.
The regional winners will be challenged to a
series of live cook-offs before one overall 'Champion of Champions' is
declared, highlighting the highest quality restaurant takeaway with the best
staff and most talented chefs.
The acclaimed Bangkok Lounge Group are hoping
for support from their legion of regulars who dine with them an average of
twelve times a year even as they continually look to expand their restaurants.
Motin Miah, owner of Bangkok Lounge, said:
"We'd like to thank our customers for all of their support and excellent
feedback as we strive to bring authentic and delicious Thai cuisine on a daily
basis.
"We think the quality of our food is good
enough to go all the way to the final [of the awards], so please vote for us if
you've enjoyed the meals that we hope have been delicious, as over the years we've
worked hard to always bring our patrons the highest standard of Thai
food."
Having won the St Albans District Chamber of
Commerce Community Business Award, they have also been recognised as one of the
top Thai restaurants for vegan food to add to a stellar and all-serving
reputation.
Bangkok Lounge Group has continued to firm its
local renown and not just for excellent Asian cuisine. They sponsor a Shefford
youth football team and raise funds for the community pre-school, a registered
charity in the town which relies heavily on fundraising and donations, as well
as contributing to a breakfast and after-school club for children at Shefford
Lower School.
The beloved restaurant located in Harpenden
meanwhile has raised over £20,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support and received
recognition from Nationwide Building Society for its charitable work.
