The Northern Manufacturing & Electronics show highlight's the North's manufacturing prowess
Northern Manufacturing & Electronics, the North's leading manufacturing technology and electronics exhibition, returns to Manchester's EventCity, on September 28th to 29thfor its fourth consecutive year.
Manufacturing and industrial enterprise contributes significantly to the North's economy, generating billions of pounds of exports and supporting tens of thousands of jobs across the region. Industries such as aerospace, automotive and public transportation manufacture are particularly important to the north west. Approximately 25% of the UK's aerospace industry is located in the area, turning over around £7bn annually.
Against such a backdrop, the Northern Manufacturing & Electronics show has rapidly emerged as the key event in the North for industry, engineering and manufacturing. Visitor numbers have grown consistently year-on-year, with last year's show attracting some 3,000 industrial buyers from across the UK and beyond. The show's appeal lies in the broad range of companies taking part, which means visitors can address multiple production issues in a single, convenient visit.
The event builds on the 20-year pedigree of its sibling event, the incredibly successful Southern Manufacturing & Electronics Show, held annually on the site of the Farnborough Airshow. An established reputation with the big-name industrial equipment manufacturers has helped propel the Northern Manufacturing show to the top of its league. Many of the world's largest machinery manufacturers will be in attendance for 2016, running live demonstrations of all the latest industrial machinery. For visitors, the show represents a rare opportunity to see the latest technologies up close and compare offerings from the leading manufacturers in a single visit.
But this is only one aspect of a much broader event. The show's regional focus and easy access from across the North, the Midlands, Scotland and Northern Ireland, gives it a unique profile, closely matched to the needs of the regional businesses it serves. With its diverse exhibitor mix of machinery and production equipment, components, electronics and sub-contract services, Northern Manufacturing has proven tremendously popular with visitors from across the complete spectrum of manufacturing enterprise.
Along with the hardware, production, management and business services are also well represented at Northern 2016. Examples include industrial cleaning, stock control solutions, waste management, consumables, health & safety equipment, design services, manufacturing software and 3D printing. There will also representatives from areas such as asset finance and training.
The show's free seminar programme is also a very popular attraction. Over a busy two-day programme, presenters from both trade bodies and commercial enterprise, will address a wide variety of technical and operational topics in a series of hour-long sessions running over both days of the event. As with the show itself, admission to the seminar sessions is free, making this an outstanding opportunity to listen to world-class presenters discuss the latest ideas in manufacturing, engineering and industrial management.
Entry to Northern Manufacturing & Electronics 2016 is free, and EventCity offers 3000 free on-site car parking spaces, with easy access by road, rail or air.
