Rays Ice Cream offering feast of new flavours for winter

Rays Ice Cream, the family run home made ice cream business in Swindon Old Town, is launching its winter flavours range.

Eight brand new flavours and two seasonal favourites make up the range, alongside Rays Ice Cream’s year-round favourites. The new arrivals are:

  •          Cointreau and orange
  •          chocolate pretzel
  •          white chocolate
  •          bread and butter pudding
  •          gingerbread
  •          whisky and marmalade
  •          gin and tonic sorbet
  •          toffee apple

They join the already popular Baileys and apple and cinnamon crumble flavours.

The new winter range can be served on mouth watering home made waffles or in a waffle cone. You can also buy Rays Ice Cream in small tubs to eat immediately or in larger tubs to take home. Rays Ice Cream winter flavours are perfectly partnered with a heart-warming freshly ground fair trade coffee or an indulgent hot chocolate.

Customers will be able to taste the new winter flavours from Monday 2 November 2015, when the Devizes Road shop will be open from 11.00 am to 6.00 pm seven days a week.

Discussing the winter flavours, Hadi Brooks co-founder of Rays Ice Cream, said: “These flavours make ice cream a true year-round treat. From traditional seasonal favourites such as gingerbread to sophisticated options like Cointreau and orange, there’s something for everyone in our winter range. The range also marks the amazing growth of Rays Ice Cream. Since we opened in 2011, we’ve always closed for six weeks from 2 January. However, this winter, thanks to our growing reputation and extended product range, we’re planning to stay open right through the season.”

Rays Ice Cream makes around 200 ice cream flavours on site. Of these, a choice of 16 is available at its shop at any one time. The company sources many of its key ingredients, including whole milk, double cream and fruit, locally.

The company caters for events within an hour’s drive of Swindon and offers bespoke ice cream packages for local retailers and foodservice outlets.
