Physio Plus launches professional bike fit service
Physio Plus, the Chippenham-based orthopaedic and sports clinic, has launched a professional bike fit service.
Costing just £50.00 for a full bike set-up, the service represents fantastic value when compared to rival offerings in the area.
Customers booking a bike fit with Physio Plus will receive expert advice based on guidelines provided by Andy Sexton, once of Planet X bikes and now the driving force behind BikeScience, Bristol’s precision bike fitting facility.
Thanks to sportives and other riding events, cycling is increasingly a year-round sport. However, the months between spring and autumn are when many cyclists are most active. With this in mind, now is a great time to get both body and bike prepared.
Andrew Baldwin, director and clinical lead orthopaedic physiotherapy specialist at Physio Plus, said: “A good bike fit maximises performance and comfort while minimising strain on the body. Our new service will help riders get the very most of the muscle systems used in cycling. We’ll also make sure their positioning on the bike promotes the correct skeletal alignment. This will prevent undue strain on the joints. “
Using their own bikes on the clinic’s turbo trainer, Physio Plus bike fit customers will receive a comprehensive assessment. This will follow the principles taught by Andy Sexton and the recommendations of leading bike fit technology company, Retül.
Physio Plus will provide clear explanations for every recommendation it makes and take any musculo-skeletal problems you may have into account. This means all the advice you receive is bespoke to your physicality.
Physio Plus bike fits are available for anyone who rides a road, race or mountain bike. Booking lead times are typically seven to ten days.
