FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Bringing local Birmingham Businesses together at historic Harborne venue

The King's Head, in partnership with DBS Heart, a local community interest company, are about to launch monthly networking events to help local businesses build their profile and engage with other like-minded business people.

The historic local venue's networking events will kick start on Thursday 15th October 2015 and will host a different charity partner every month as well as some of Birmingham's leading business professionals. DBS Heart have chosen John Taylor Hospice as the first charity to benefit from the events proceedings.

The Harborne pub's monthly events will be known as PULSE Bearwood and will be dedicated to connecting business professionals from across the wider Birmingham area together, to create a vibrant network, whilst also raising awareness for local charitable causes.

Richard Perry, Manager at The King's Head has said, "We noticed that a lot of business people from the area were hosting lunch meetings at our venue, therefore it made sense to start our own business networking group. The King's Head is a highly acclaimed eatery that's easy to get to and pretty central. Our venue is perfect for hosting a top-notch business event - the proofs in the pudding as they say and we have already filled almost all of our spaces for the first event. Unlike the 6am starts of most networking events, we have decided to run our event after hours so that attendees can slot us in before they head home after work".

Networking groups offer many advantages to a business and its sales team, and can have a great impact on a local economy. According to a study by Business Network SW (http://business-networksw.org/2012/02/15/our-survey-said-87-said-they-network-why-read-on/) 95% of people attend business-networking events to generate new business leads and build on existing relationships.

The PULSE Bearwood events will take place from 5pm until 6:30pm and will benefit a different charity each month. Tickets are £5, £4 of which will be donated to the monthly chosen charity to help with their fundraising efforts. The event will run in partnership with DBS Heart, Yogurt Top Marketing and Preach PR. The King's Head hopes that its popular historic venue will become the ‘go to' networking event for high flying business professionals who want to build on their existing local business relationships.
