North Yorkshire ice cream business shortlisted for three awards

The team at a York ice cream business are celebrating after being shortlisted for three awards.

Acaster Malbis based Yorvale has reached the final in the Large Diversification Innovator of the Year category of theBritish FarmingAwards; in the Chilled, Fresh and Dairy category of theFood Manufactureawards and has two ice creams, Sea Salted Caramel and Clotted Cream, in the final of the Best Ice Cream category in thedeliciouslyorkshireTaste Awards.

Director Lesley Buxton is delighted with the shortlist success: "We've been in business for 26 years and it's really encouraging that we can still reach the finals of such diverse and prestigious awards after all this time."

Yorvale is one of five finalists in theBritish FarmingAwards and will find out whether they have won at a gala dinner at Chateau Impney, Droitwich on October 15^th. The deliciouslyorkshire awards dinner is being held at thePavilions of Harrogate on Wednesday 21st October and the Food Manufacture winners will be announced on the 3^rdNovember in London.

Yorvale has been producing ice cream from its farm based business for 26 years.
