Crimson on target for £21 million turnover following
office move
A rapidly growing IT and recruitment company has completed a move to new larger offices as it hits £17 million turnover, a growth of 68% during the last 12 months.
Crimson Ltd has recently expanded its premises, moving to Birmingham Business Park after outgrowing its previous offices in Coleshill. The new site is expected to provide a solid foundation on which the business can continue to grow rapidly, as it has a turnover figure of £21 million well within its sights for next year.
The company, which is planning an official office opening on October 7, puts its impressive growth down to an increase in demand for specialist recruitment agencies and for its IT consultancy services.
Managing Director, Rob Mallaband, commented: “We are in a unique position at Crimson in that our services stretch across people, processes and IT; the three most integral factors to the success of any business. Not only do we offer our own IT consultancy and CRM services, but the entire business is also built around specialist IT recruitment, so we understand the people and technology sourcing problems that companies in multiple industries are facing. The recent creation of our Mercury xRM recruitment software division has also enabled us to enter a new market and has contributed significantly to company growth.”
Crimson first launched its Mercury xRM recruitment software towards the final quarter of 2013, and already it has become a key market player, with the software now implemented in a wide number of recruitment agencies across the UK. After agreeing a recent deal with Hitachi Solutions Europe to enable Mercury xRM to perform large, multi-site enterprise implementations of the software, the next step is to take the product to an international market, which is expected to boost Crimson’s business even further.
As one of only two providers from the UK that sits on the Microsoft Partner Advisory Council, Crimson recently had its recruitment software Certified for Microsoft Dynamics, and has spent the last year working very closely alongside Microsoft in the recruitment market. This has helped the business to carve out a unique market position, adding to its 60+ workforce by 20% over the last 12 months from a pool of local talent; something notoriously hard to source during the current skills shortage. Over the last year the company has added 19 new people to its core Crimson team, and a further five to its Mercury xRM division. The business is planning a team building day for all its staff to celebrate its success.
Rob Mallaband continued: “With
any growing company comes the pain of scaling up resources and personnel, but
we have been very fortunate that we have always had a solid and dependable team
of people within the business, who have provided us with the expertise,
knowledge and passion to be able to grow and develop. Our official office
opening will provide us with a great opportunity to reward our hard-working
people and celebrate our growth, while also looking ahead to expanding the
business even further over the next few years.”
