Literary News: Leading Businessman & Fast-Growing Indie Publisher Signs Literally PR To Support Launch Of ‘Red Pill'
Due for international release in January 10th2016
Dr PaulBallman(former co-CEO of YSC and international business leader) andI AM Self Publishingare working together to bring the Red Pill to mangers bored rigid with jargon-packed, mundane management books.
Paul Ballman's new book,Red Pill: The Truth About Leadership,is a bold and brave departure from the modern management guide. Instead of offering easy answers and step-by-step guides, Red Pill shares hard truths that can steer managers towards their goals effectively - but be warned - there is no quick fix - the path to successful leadership requires effort and energy.
Unlike other management texts that bury the reader under pseudo-impressive jargon and quasi-spiritualist guru speak, Paul's book uses straightforward, experience-led understanding to educate the reader and give them the tools to become a better manager.
Paul has a huge wealth of experience in coaching and consulting with some of the most senior leaders in the business world. He worked for YSC for 17 years during which time he set up their online business, opened the Sydney office and eventually assumed responsibility for all 17 global offices, becoming co-CEO in 2013.
Throughout this time he acted as an assessor, coach and consultant to the top levels of a range of clients in different sectors including Financial Services, FMCG, Retail, Pharmaceuticals and Mining. In 2015 Paul left YSC and became Head of Leadership Development with Vodafone UK.
Helen Lewis, director at Literally PR Ltd, explains why Red Pill appealed to her: "There is already a huge buzz around Paul's book and I was keen to get involved from the start. Stephen Page, Chief Executive of Faber & Faber Ltd has called it ‘refreshing and inspiring' and says ‘its thoughtfulness and honesty about the true challenge of leading will ring true with great leaders'. I am excited about sharing Red Pill with my contacts - not just in the press but within the publishing sector - there are plenty of aspiring leaders out there who could do with the Red Pill rather than the monotonous business texts spewed out week upon week'.
Ali Dewji, director at I_AM Self-Publishing, adds: "We are proud to present Paul's Red Pill. So many business books oversimplify and generalise without going deep enough to be really useful. Paul has so much experience working with so many leaders that Red Pill has a lot to teach all of us. We are really looking forward to working with Paul to get this book to the readers it can help."
