PRESS RELEASE

From: Camellia Interiors

Date: August 27th2015

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Your Vote Could Help Put Cornish Design On The Global Map

Camellia Interiors in Newquay is asking followers of Cornish design and people that just love Cornwall to ‘Vote For Us!' in the International Design and Architecture Awards 2015.

The prestigious awards celebrating the best in interior design and architecture, recognising new talent and promoting ground-breaking projects around the world, are hosted by leading UK interior design magazine ‘design et al'.

Votingopened on 25th August, with the winners chosen by the public vote.

Camellia, an architectural design practice specialising in coastal projects, has been shortlisted for several awards, reflecting their growing reputation nationally and internationally.

Based on the Treloggan Industrial Estate in Newquay, Camellia has recently had to expand its premises in order to keep up with demand and house a growing team of design experts.

The practice offers a full design and project management service for their clients - many of whom live outside the UK - creating luxurious, rare and special spaces and helping property owners to achieve their maximum return on investment.

One major project recently completed is a waterfront home in Looe, which has been shortlisted for four of the International Design & Architecture Awards - ‘Bedroom', ‘Kitchen over £25,000, ‘Residential Development, £1 - £2.5 million' and finally for its architectural excellence in the ‘Beach House' category.

Another property occupying a stunning position on the Cornish coast in Mawgan Porth has been shortlisted in the ‘Home Cinema' and ‘Living Space UK' categories. Camellia transformed a confined layout and half-built extension into a series of light and airy spaces infused with contemporary coastal style.

Elaine Skinner, Design Director at Camellia, was thrilled to see her company shortlisted for six international awards, saying: "This recognition is a fantastic reward for the hard-working team here at Camellia, and also for the other businesses in Cornwall we work with to deliver great results for our clients."

She added: "I would like to ask people to take a look at the projects and to vote for us, so that we can spread the word that Cornwall is home to enormous talent and creativity when it comes to design and architecture."

The International Design and Architecture Awards ceremony will be held at The Hurlingham Club in London on Friday 25th September.
