STERTIL KONI TO SHOWCASE EARTHLIFT AND SKYLIFT AT RWM 2015

(Stand No. 5Y10)

Leading vehicle lift manufacturer Stertil Koni will be highlighting two popular models from its extensive product range at this year's RWM Exhibition. Sharing the spotlight will be the company's innovative Earthlift and the versatile galvanised Wash Bay Skylift.

In designing and developing the Earthlift, Stertil Koni has set the industry's ‘green' standard by producing an ergonomically efficient, economically productive and user friendly model that contributes towards the reduction of a user's carbon footprint. For instance, the Earthlift incorporates a unique system that uses gravity and the load of the lifted vehicle to retrieve energy. This energy is then returned to the batteries of the wireless mobile columns. Furthermore, this novel lift uses bio-degradable hydraulic oil that allows 98% of it to be recycled at the end of its long life.

With each column providing a lifting capacity of 8500kg, Earthlifts are used to simplify the handling of many types of vehicles such as buses, coaches and HGVs. In typical use, as a set of four mobile columns, the lifts provide a combined capacity of over 34 tonnes. However, when lifting heavier or longer vehicles, such as multi-axle refuse vehicles, additional columns may be added up to a maximum of 32 columns per set to increase the overall lifting capacity.

Stertil Koni will also be showcasing the 25 tonne capacity wash bay version of its revolutionary Skylift space-saving vertical platform lift. Specifically designed for use in chassis wash bays and steam cleaning facilities, this model features galvanised platforms and run-ups, stainless steel axle pins plus waterproof fixtures and fittings.

Offering three standard models with capacities of 20, 25 and 35 tonnes, and up to 14.5 metres in length, the Skylift can also be used by linking two lifts in a line to provide total lifting capacities up to 70 tonnes and lengths up to 29 metres. Significantly, all models can be installed either recessed or surface mounted with varying platform lengths to accommodate any vehicle.

The Skylift has been awarded a European patent for its innovative design which includes a unique Y-shaped construction that supports the lift's base plates thereby ensuring that load forces are distributed as effectively as possible.

"We are keen to highlight two of our most popular vehicle lifts at this year's RWM Exhibition," Says Tony Edge, Stertil Koni's general manager. "The show will provide an ideal opportunity for visitors to see not only our unrivalled build quality but also the success of our ongoing product design and development programme."
