Presona baler improves capacity for confidential shredding company
Hampshire-based recycling company Paper Mountain will take delivery of a new 31 ton fully automatic Presona baler with bespoke conveyor system in July. The Presona baler will expand the depot's recycling capacity, increasing its annual handling capacity to 50,000 tonnes of paper, cardboard and plastic a year.
The model specified by Paper Mountain is an LP 80 VH1. The baler has a press force of 80 tonnes and has a material throughput of up to 15 tonnes per hour (for paper).
As with all Presona LP Series balers, this new model incorporates pre-press technology. When compared to a traditional shear baler, this delivers a significant reduction in energy costs as all of the power goes into the compaction process. And, because the process is more streamlined, the units suffer less wear and tear, emit less noise, and are more streamlined than their counterparts.
"We reviewed many manufacturers and styles of compaction systems, but none had the pedigree or experience of Presona," said Paper Mountain Managing Director, Jensen Lunn.
"It's a large investment for us and we needed to be sure of our choice. Presona have already exceeded all expectations so far; their support and back-up is incredible, as is their advice and planning.
"They were highly recommended by colleagues in the industry, and it is clear we have made the right choice."
