How a £25,000 investment in US buy-to-let property can help pay for university costs
As thousands of students anxiously wait to find out if they will get the grades they need for university, anxious parents are looking at ways to pay for their children's university costs.
For most people with average savings, interest rates or bonds do not offer much in extra income and the option of an income from the UK buy-to-let market is out of reach for most investors.
Increasing canny investors are discovering that the USA offers incredible opportunities for investors who can buy fully tenanted, income-producing properties for as little as £25,000 and achieve incredible yields of over 18%.

Alister Weightman a Lincolnshire based dentists in his mid-40s, discovered US buy-to-let when he started looking into different investment options to pay for his daughter's university costs. He wanted something that would bring in a steady income and provide longer-term capital growth. Intrigued by the low prices and high returns available on buy-to-let properties in some US cities he started to look more seriously at this option.
"At first I was very sceptical about the offer of such high yields and was concerned that if it sounded too good to be true then it was too good to be true", comments Alister.
