Epson wireless mobile printer is world’s smallest – Ink Worldwide responds

A leading supplier of ink and printing equipment in the UK, Ink Worldwide, have commented on news that leading electronics company, Epson America, Inc., have released the Epson WorkForce® WF-100, the lightest and smallest mobile printer on the planet.

The company announced on Nov 4, 2014 that the device, created for the modern day professionals on the move, features an inbuilt rechargeable battery and wireless connectivity, allowing users to print from absolutely anywhere in the world.

The device, which is smartphone, tablet and laptop-friendly, is to hit online shelves this month but won’t arrive at major retail stores until January 2015. Its sleek design includes Wi-Fi direct, which means you won’t need a router to print on-the-go.

Marketing director at Epson America, Inc., Nils Madden, believes that the technology is essential for the busy, modern professional.

“Mobile devices are critical tools for professionals, and the sleek, portable, wireless WorkForce WF-100 augments the mobile experience, enabling users to stay productive on-the-go,” he said. “The WorkForce WF-100 not only expands our portfolio of business printing solutions, but underscores our commitment to delivering tools that meet the evolving needs of today’s mobile workforce.”

The easy to use printer has a 1.4” colour LCD screen and caused something of a stir earlier in the month when its release was officially announced, causing many to sit up and take notice.

Ink Worldwide, an industry leader who provide ink, printer and office equipment online, follow industry news closely.

Jonathan Brokenbrow, Director at Ink Worldwide, said his company were excited by the release.

“We live in an increasingly busy and mobile world and the need for portable technology is obvious, as we’ve seen with phones and computers. It’s no surprise that electronics manufacturers are starting to fill the printing void, creating smaller, lighter and better mobile printers to help professionals print while outside of their home or office,” explained Jonathan. “With a colour LCD screen, quick-dry inks, Wi-Fi Direct2 and built-in wireless, flexible battery charging and vivid, professional quality prints, we expect the WorkForce WF-100 to be a big hit amongst our customers.”
