Oleo expands presence in North America

Elevator manufacturers and installers in North America are set to benefit from world leading energy absorption technology after Oleo International agreed a deal to have its products more widely distributed throughout the region.

The company, which has recently designed and manufactured the largest elevator buffer in the world, has signed a partnership with elevator company Lift Solutions Inc. to provide Oleo’s sales and technical support in the North American region. The new partnership was announced at this year’s Convention for the National Association of Elevator Contractors in San Antonio and gives Oleo the opportunity to further expand its presence in North America.

Oleo already supplies products to North America from its Atlanta-based distribution facility, but by teaming up with Lift Solutions, the company is poised to grow its customer base in the region, adding to its already global reputation.

“North America is a very established elevator market and is currently thriving during a period of economic growth which has seen a significant increase in new building construction and major modernisation projects, which will lead to many new elevator installations over the next few years. We are already dominant with some of the larger original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in the region, and by teaming up with a respected name like Lift Solutions we hope to be able to grow the business with the multitude of independent elevator manufacturers and equipment packagers in the USA and Canada” said Jamie Pratt, Managing Director of Oleo’s elevator division.

The new deal means that elevator manufacturers and installers in North America are able to benefit from a number of features unique to Oleo products. This includes minimised overall height and stroke of the buffer, small and lightweight construction, global quality certifications and a variety of different product ranges suitable for elevator speeds from 1m/s to 20m/s.

The partnership comes at a time when Oleo is preparing to launch its brand new e-commerce facility, which will allow customers to order Oleo manufactured buffer equipment via the internet quickly and easily. Products ordered online will be made available from Oleo’s Atlanta distribution facility within one week from receipt of order, speeding up the order process for customers.
