James Dawson appoints Daragh Parker to newly created Head of Innovation & Technology role

James Dawson- the engineer of bespoke advanced silicone and organic rubber products - has appointed Daragh Parker to the newly created role of Head of Innovation & Technology.

Daragh has an impressive track record of delivering innovative new rubber technology products and helping customers develop next generation products for new and existing markets.

Graduating from Loughborough with a degree in Engineering, Science and Technology, Daragh began his career as a product developer with Huxley Bertram. He then joined Manus (Tetra-Laval Group) in France to head up the development of innovative and - subsequently - hugely successful rubber teat agricultural milking solutions.

A change of direction saw Daragh start his own innovative solar heating business in France, before he was approached by Avon Rubber to head up technology and innovation. Daragh will now take up a similar role at James Dawson.

Daragh said: "I was incredibly impressed when I met with [James Dawson MD] Paul Edwards and excited by his vision for the business. His vision is shared by directors that share his sense of purpose and has full backing from the board.

"James Dawson already has great people in place in terms of product knowledge and innovation and has largely put the industry where it is today, with competitors following behind.

"My job must be to harness this great resource and focus it so that we can continue to push the boundaries of hose capabilities and optimisation for new markets and help customers create next generation, innovative solutions for their varied markets."
