Park Lodge’s 35-Year Commitment to Steelite Underscores Quality and Durability

For more than 35 years, the Morgans family—owners of Park Lodge Hotel in Aberystwyth—have relied exclusively on Steelite for their tableware needs. Their enduring trust in the brand spans back to their first guest house, long before Park Lodge officially opened in 2000.

“Dad wouldn’t let anything but Steelite through the door,” recalls Shon Morgans, now Director of Park Lodge and the family’s second hotel, The Esplanade in Llandudno. “We still have plates in service today that were bought for our first property over 35 years ago.”

“Willow is absolutely stunning,” says Shon. “It’s a brilliant addition to our service—and I wouldn’t mind having it at home either!”

Steelite’s recent campaign to find the oldest still-in-use plate uncovered several examples at Park Lodge that are over three decades old. “That just shows the value of investing in quality,” Shon adds. “We’re proud to have partnered with Steelite all these years.”
