Bradford Garden Centre to host first masterclass with leading rose grower
A Bradford garden centre is hosting a rose masterclass with one of the country's leading names in roses next month.
In celebration of National Rose Month, an expert from the long-established, family-owned rose breeder David Austin Roses will be in The Mezzanine at Tong Garden Centre on Wednesday, 2ndJuly to shareadvice on planting, pruning, feeding, and caring for roses.
"Whether you're new to rose growing or a rose aficionado, this masterclass is the perfect opportunity to ask questions and pick up hints, tips and advice that will help your roses to thrive," said Yorkshire Garden Centres' Commercial Plant Manager, Marc Salama.
"It's the first time that we have partnered with David Austin Roses, and we're excited to bring this masterclass to Tong. The audience will enjoy a 90-minute masterclass whilst enjoying a delicious cream tea. Tickets are limited, and we expect it will be a very popular event."
Tickets cost £20 and include the masterclass and a cream tea. There is also the option to upgrade to a £50 ticket to include a David Austin rose worth £32.99. The event runs from 9.00 am to 10.30 am.
Tong Garden Centre occupies a 19-acre site in Tong village. It is one of Yorkshire's biggest independent garden centres with 11,600m2of retail space and parking for up to 700 cars. It is part of the Yorkshire Garden Centres (YGC) family which also owns Tingley, Otley, Bingley, York, Scarborough and Pennine Garden Centres.
