Charity fundraising campaign by Crediton company wins a fair-weather following.
A campaign by Crediton-based agricultural and construction machinery supplier Conagri to raise funds for two national charities has got off to a cracking start.
Three days of beautiful summer weather at Devon County Show helped Conagri staff, dressed in pink tutus and wellies, sell 350 £10 tickets to win a pink Captain Tractor (for the Pink Ribbon Foundation for breast cancer) or a black one (for Prostate Cancer UK).
Visitors to Conagri's stand at the show included former Love Islander and Celebrity MasterChef contestant Faye Winter (pictured top left) who was only too pleased to buy a ticket and have her photograph taken on the pink tractor.
The Devon County Show was the first of many shows Conagri is taking its portfolio of agricultural machinery to. Royal Bath and West and the Royal Cornwall are next up.
The winners will be presented with their bespoke tractors during an open day at Conagri's site on October 31st by TV presenter and breast cancer survivor Julia Bradbury (pictured bottom right) whose father Michael is himself a prostate cancer survivor. Julia will also be signing copies of her new book "Hack yourself healthy" at the event.
Conagri director Andrew Venton, who donned a tutu himself, said: "Devon was a fantastic start to our campaign and we are confident things will continue to grow from here for our breast and prostate cancer causes."
