Last call for Park Home Warm Home Discount applications
The Park Homes Warm Home Discount scheme, managed by Charis, is about to close, so households who've not yet applied for the £150 rebate are being urged to act now. There is a little more funding available to park home residents who fit the eligibility criteria, but support is allocated on a first-come first-served basis.
With a record breaking 8000 applications - 41 per cent up on last year, the funding for the scheme has almost been fully allocated and the scheme could be closed as early as the end of this week (Friday 28 February). The scheme will then reopen in October 2025.
People can see how to apply at charisgrants.com/partners/park-homes/.
"The increase in applications reflects the vital need for financial support among many park home residents who are already facing or at risk of fuel poverty," commented Charis's director of client services, Jonathan Hunt. "We have also seen growing support for the initiative. We are very grateful to the MPs who have made park home constituents aware of the available support, and to site owners that have promoted the scheme to their residents."
Permanent park home and static caravan residents across England, Scotland and Wales can apply for a £150 payment to help towards their energy costs. The Charis Park Homes Warm Home Discount is an Ofgem regulated, multi-supplier initiative which this year was generously funded by E.ON Next, Utilita, OVO and Rebel Energy.
You can apply if you are permanently living in a park home, pay council tax, and either receive means tested government benefits or tax credits, or have a household income of less than £19,978.
