Pickering quiz night raises £1000 for Salton woman's charity ball 

 

The team at Cedarbarn Farm Shop and Café are celebrating after their second quiz night raised £1,000 for charity.

 

The funds will be donated to Maisie Bulmer from Salton, who is hosting a charity ball to raise money for Teenage Cancer Trust, Anthony Nolan and Kidney Research Yorkshire next month.

 

Cedarbarn co-founder, Mandy Avison was delighted with the result:"Thank you so much to the people who helped to make the event such a success, including Michael Kipling for being a fabulous quizmaster, everyone who came and Whitby Distillery, R Yates and Son and Dales of Malton for donating raffle prizes."

 

"Congratulations to the winning team, The Plowmans."

 

Miss Bulmer said: "Thank you so much to the team at Cedarbarn for putting on a fantastic night which raised a fantastic amount for three incredible charities! Thank you to all those who purchased tickets and supported the event."

 

Maisie's ‘Cheers to 10 years' Charity Ball takes place on 22ndMarch at York Racecourse.

 

The first quiz night took place on 24thJanuary and raised £1000 for Ryedale Special Families.

 

Cedarbarn is home to a Café, Farm Shop, Butchery, Miniature Railway and Dog Walking Field.
