Mitchell & Dickinson walks the talk on sustainability and carbon savings
Every six months,Mitchell & Dickinson, experts in insulating challenging listed and period properties, calculate how much carbon has been saved through the installation of the company's product portfolios.
Between April and September 2024, the employed team of craftspeople completed 152 projects. Through detailed analysis of the individual properties' energy data, which calculates the heat loss before and after each installation, Mitchell & Dickinson estimates the total carbon saved per year to be 350 tonnes of CO2.
Over the products' 30-year lifespan, the company conservatively estimates 7,870 tonnes of CO2 will be saved - equivalent totaking 4,028 cars off the road for one year or 65,807 return flights from the UK to Paris.

Since Mitchell & Dickinson started insulating period buildings in 2010 savings from work carried to date will equate to over 100,000 tonnes of CO2e - equivalent to 800,000 flights to Paris, or 50,000 cars taken off the road for a year.
