The 10 tallest residential buildings in the UK in 2024 revealed

Seven of the top 10 located within a 15-minute walk of each other

With the number of increasingly tall residential buildings in our towns and cities continuing to grow, blocks of flats insurance specialists Lansdown Insurance Brokers have compiled a list of the current top 10 tallest residential buildings in the UK.

London dominates the 2024 list with nine of the top ten located in the capital. Seven of these are located within just 0.7 miles of each other, in and around Canary Wharf.

The highest of these Canary Wharf buildings, Landmark Pinnacle, is the current tallest residential building in the UK. Its 75 floors stand 233 metres high - almost 100m higher than the London Eye. Despite the incredible views, the building currently has a Google review rating of just 3.1 out of 5, with residents complaining of long waits for lifts and creaking noises on windy days.

The only building located outside of London to make the top 10 is Manchester's Deansgate Square South Tower. This 201 metre, 64 floor contemporary tower currently stands over 30m higher than any other completed building in Manchester.

Darren Bee, Associate Director of Lansdown Insurance Brokers said: "The UK's skyline continues to evolve, with new and even taller residential buildings planned for the future. While London - and Canary Wharf, in particular - dominate the 2024 list, two of the tallest new buildings currently at planning stage are in Manchester, including the Viadux 2 which is proposed to have over 915 apartments across two buildings, the tallest of which would be 76 floors and stand 241 metres high. This would be 8m higher than the current tallest residential building in the UK - Landmark Pinnacle in Canary Wharf."

5. One Park Drive, London (205 metres/ 673 ft)
6. Deansgate Square South Tower, Manchester (201 metres/ 659 ft)
7. Wardian East Tower , London - (187 metres / 617 ft)
8. The Madison Amory Tower, London - (184 metres/ 604 ft)
9. The Tower, One St George Wharf, London - (181 metres/ 593 ft)
10. One West Point's Icon Tower, London - (178 metres/584 ft)
