Q-Park win the Smart Parking Award

Q-Park are delighted to announce that they have won the Smart Parking Award at the CiTTi Awards 2024.

Organised by CiTTi Magazine, CiTTi Awards 2024 recognises and celebrates the hard work and innovation demonstrated by public-sector and private-sector organisations in enabling the clean, safe and efficient movement of people, goods and materials through urban environments in the UK.

The Smart Parking category recognised intelligent approaches to the planning and management of parking, as well as advances in the systems used to manage parking. It looked for examples of ‘joined-up' or lateral thinking that deliver solutions to on-street and off-street needs and examples of innovation - be it a piece of hardware, device or wider system - that makes the management of parking more efficient and/or customer-friendly. Q-Park were nominated for this award for their state-of-the-art PaSS automatic number plate recognition systemwhich has allowed them to create a seamless customer journey by allowing both access to the car park and taking payment for parking simultaneously from both their own and third party businesses.

The judging panel received many nominations from other parking operators, both large and small as well as other public bodies. The Q-Park nomination shone through above all other nominees with the judging panel remarking that Q-Park had ‘demonstrated a clear understanding of their clients' needs, wants and how to adapt a business model around this. Streamlining the ease of use facilitates an improved customer experience and increases retention; a great entry all round.'

Adam Bidder, Managing Director commented ‘We are truly honoured to have attained the Smart Parking Award at the prestigious CiTTi Awards. Our innovative PaSS system is designed with the needs of our customers at heart so to see it recognised among the wider Urban Mobility sector is something our hard-working team can be proud of.'
