A 39-year-old HGV driver from Retford has won the SEIB Insurance Brokers Search for a Star In-Hand Supreme Championship at Your Horse Live. Welsh Part-Bred pony, Tambrook Prayer in C was handles skillfully by Claire Crerand on the 9^th November under the bright lights of the main Your Horse Live SEIB arena in Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire to take the Search for a Star Supreme In-Hand title.

Claire said: "We're a very new partnership and we've had the best time at Your Horse Live! She has exceeded all expectations! I was really nervous this morning and this is the absolute icing on the cake for the end of the season.

"This is only the sixth show we've been to and I've only ever competed her in-hand so far. Every time we've been out she's won her class including taking the Reserve Supreme In-Hand Championship at Equi-Fest and Supreme Champion at the British Elite Championships. I bought her to show and we will either aim at competing in ridden small hack classes next year or we will stay in-hand and go for the HOYS Price Championships. Tambrook Prayer in C has spent two-years out having a foal. I thought Search for a Star would be a good first outing In-Hand to see how we got on!"

Claire and Tambrook Prayer in C (known as Lucy) qualified for the Search for a Star Your Horse Live with a win at a qualifying show back in June. They went on to win the Search for a Star In-Hand Pony final on the Friday at Your Horse Live before taking the Supreme In-Hand title on the Saturday.

Nearly a thousand competitors have entered SEIB Search for a Star qualifiers this season to chase a total of 60 much-coveted Your Horse Live tickets in the series. SEIB Insurance Brokers set up the Search for a Star series in the mid-1990's. For the first time, in 2024 the Absolutely Genuine Company has leased the running of Search for a Star and Racehorse to Riding Horse.
