This September, Whitewater Contemporary welcomes Featured Artist Caroline Cleave for an autumn exhibition of paintings and prints that celebrate the season of plenty, in the spirit of gratitude for the wonder of nature's bounty. TitledAbundance, the collection catalogues Cornwall's endless natural gifts, from the visual beauty of meadows filled with wildflowers, to hedgerows brimming with blackberries, to shoals of sardines in our seas and the good fortune of the fisherman's catch. Contrasting richly detailed flowers, fruits and seafood against simple backgrounds in the artists well known style, these works explore ideas of richness in all aspects of life, from beauty and sustenance to love and personal fulfilment, against a universal backdrop of lack and challenging times.

Caroline Cleave works from her valley studio in the heart of Port Isaac. Her images of fish, crabs, lobsters, and wild foliage celebrate the beauty of the Cornish coast and countryside, and reflect issues of economy and sustainability associated with those living and working in Cornwall's rural environment.
