East Yorkshire chicken business's successful Food Safety and Quality audit

 

A Yorkshire Wolds poultry company is celebrating after passing its BRCGS audit with flying colours.

During a recent audit, the team at Middleton on the Wolds business, Soanes Poultry gained AA+ grade status against Issue 9 of the BRCGS certification programme that is globallyrecognisedas a benchmark for food safety management systems and best practice for product safety and quality. 
 

Soanes Poultry's Head of Technical, Diana May, is delighted with the news: "Congratulations to the team for their partin the successful AA+ grade.This result was achieved because of everyone's hard work and our constant year-on-year improvements, which means our customers can have complete confidence in all of our products.

Soanes Poultry was founded by Tom Soanes and has been rearing and preparing chicken since 1947. It sells its Yorkshire-reared chicken to butchers and independent retailers throughout Yorkshire and to wholesalers and catering butchers nationwide.
