NOTES TO EDITORS
The Cotswold Show and Food Festival
The Cotswold Show and Food Festival is a traditional country show held in Cirencester Park on the Bathurst Estate. Running over two days every year the Cotswold Show sees hundreds of attractions and tens of thousands of visitors, making it one of the most popular events in the Country Show calendar.
The show was founded in 1989 by The Earl Bathurst, whose ancestral seat is Cirencester Park. Lord Bathurst's dream was to stage an event primarily for people from the countryside, or with an interest in farming, that is family friendly, educational and packed with entertainment. Thirty-five years on the show's popularity continues to grow, seeing visitors from near and far enjoying a fabulous day out with their families. Each year sees exciting new attractions and shopping stalls, so there is always plenty to see and do for visitors new and old.
