Celebrating her 75thbirthday with a ‘Champagne for Lulu' UK tour this Spring, Lulu, has hand-picked Glenrothes and Aberdeen for her warm-up shows, ahead of performing to the rest of the UK. Because there's no place like home, the wee girl from Lennoxtown has never forgotten her roots, and warming-up ‘at home' was a must, as she comes to Glenrothes on 6 April and Aberdeen on 7 April.
The ‘Champagne For Lulu' UK tour includes six spectacular live dates in April, kicking-off in her hometown of Glasgow, and touring through Manchester, Southampton, Gateshead, Birmingham; culminating at The London Palladium. But not until she's gone home for her special warm up shows in Glenrothes and Aberdeen.
On 17 April 1964, a 15 year-old Lulu stormed into the UK charts with her iconic, ‘Shout', a song that would turn the wee girl from Glasgow into a cherished national treasure. Now, exactly 60 years (to the day) since she released ‘Shout', this pioneer of popular culture prepares to celebrate her 75thbirthday year with fans on her "Champagne For Lulu" Tour ending at the London Palladium on Wednesday 17 April 2024.
"Champagne for Lulu" will be a massive celebration with Lulu as you've never seen her. She goes beyond the bubbles, delivering the performance of a lifetime. Energetic, effervescent and emotional, this will be an experience to remember.
