Pickering Farm Shop and Café strengthens team with key appointment
A Pickering farm shop and café has promoted from within to fill a new role in its management team.
Cedarbarn Farm Shop and Café has promoted bookkeeper Lauren Turnbull from Marton to the new position of Assistant General Manager.
Mrs Turnbull will support General Manager Alison Riley withmanagerial responsibilities, staffing, general enquiries and overseeing the shop and café when required.She has managed the accounts function at Cedarbarn since 2019 and will continue to fulfil herbookkeeping, wages and admin commitments.
"The team here are great and I'm looking forward to being more involved in all aspects of the business," she said.
"We're delighted to promote Lauren to this exciting new position. She's an experienced and valued member of the Cedarbarn team and I'm looking forward to working more closely with her," said Mrs Riley.
Mrs Turnbull lives with her husband, Ben, and daughter, Lily, on the family farm near Kirkbymoorside and enjoys riding her horse, walking her dogs and playing hockey for Pickering when she's not working.
Founded by Karl and Mandy Avison, Cedarbarn Farm Shop and Café began as a small PYO strawberries operation in 1995 andnow is a thriving farm shop and café that sources a large percentage of its produce from its own farm and a neighbouring farm supplemented with local suppliers.
