New IPAF training centre gives operatives a starring role
Powered access rental and sales specialist Star Platforms has opened a new dedicated IPAF training centre for London and the south of England.
The facility, less than two miles from Junction 10 of the M1 at Luton, has a high quality training room and a large new slab concrete area for practical assessment and examination.
Star Platforms Managing Director Richard Miller said: "The new Luton IPAF Training Centre is our first stand-alone training space. As such, we see it as a positive step forward for Star Platforms and our customers.
"It provides an ideal facility for operatives needing to renew their IPAF licences in a purpose-built environment without the distractions of a busy operating depot.
"It is also perfectly located for our customers from North London, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire and Essex."
The centre has plenty of space for Star Platforms' experienced and skilled IPAF training instructors to guide operatives in developing skills needed to pass required practical tests.
It also has the latest facilities for the elearning practical element of the course and delivery of instructor-led class-based courses, plus a kitchen and a relaxation area.
The new Star Platforms Luton IPAF Training Centre is located in Luton Road, Markyate, just over a mile from the company's Luton depot.
Star Platforms delivers IPAF training at each of its six other depots. Courses provided are IPAF 1b (static boom lift), IPAF 3a (mobile vertical) and IPAF 3b (mobile boom).
The company also delivers the IPAF MEWPs for Managers course plus Harness Use and Inspection training - and can deliver on-site IPAF training if customers require it.
