Driffield poultry business highly commended in regional award
The team at an East Yorkshire poultry business is celebrating after winning a Highly Commended accolade at a regional tourism awards dinner.
Middleton on the Wolds based, Soanes Poultry won the award in the Remarkable Local Producer category at the Remarkable East Yorkshire Tourism Awards (REYTAs) that were celebrated in Hull last week.
"We're proud of our roots in rural East Yorkshire and the contribution we make to the local economy, charities and community groups. We highlight our Yorkshire Wolds provenance in everything we do, from packaging to vans, so it's rewarding to have our efforts commended in this prestigious competition," said Ben Lee, MD.
Soanes Poultry was founded by Tom Soanes and has been rearing and preparing chicken since 1947. It sells its Yorkshire-reared chicken to butchers and independent retailers throughout Yorkshire and to wholesalers and catering butchers nationwide.
