About
EnviroBuild’s Environmental Impact
EnviroBuild is committed to reducing its environmental
impact, with an emphasis on minimising its impact before resorting to
offsetting. This approach ensures that its offsetting efforts have a positive
impact on the environment.
The business’ commitment extends to utilising recycled materials, where designs go above and beyond industry standards. 90% recycled materials are employed in EnviroBuild’s composite products, sourced from FSC-certified wood, and plastic lumber is crafted from 100% recycled material. In addition to using recycled materials, EnviroBuild is dedicated to using 100% renewable energy for its composite products and plastic lumber, resulting in significant reductions in CO2 emissions.
In collaboration with its suppliers, EnviroBuild has
taken strides to reduce environmental impact, such as transitioning to
renewable energy for its composite decking, cladding, and fencing. This
partnership exemplifies EnviroBuild’s commitment to driving positive change
within the industry.
Thanks to EnviroBuild’s collaboration with Rainforest
Trust, over 270,000 acres of rainforest across 25 countries, equivalent to
protecting 61.3 million trees, have been conserved.
EnviroBuild believes that the key to a more sustainable
future is to educate the public on how to make sustainable changes to their own
lives. It has taken an extra step in teaching clients about the sustainability
of its products through Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) and Environmental Product
Declarations (EPDs). EPDs provide a quantifiable environmental impact on all of
EnviroBuild’s products, and it is the only UK supplier to have them readily
available for clients to see. EnviroBuild hopes that these documents will
enable clients to make informed decisions when choosing sustainable options,
while also helping the company itself to improve its product range by
pinpointing areas of the greatest environmental impact.
