East Yorkshirepoultry business sponsors a Driffield junior football team

A Middleton on the Wolds poultry business has sponsored the playing kit for a junior football team in its first season.

Soanes Poultry is supporting theGreat Driffield AFC U7 Blues team that plays in Group 4 of the Hull and District Youth Football League.

The U7 Blues Manager,Wayne Brooksby, is grateful for the support given by Soanes Poultry: "We are driven by a  desire to provide local boys and girls with an opportunity to play football and are looking forwardto seeing the players develop over the season and starting to gel as a team.The generous support from Soanes means that the team has gone into their first matches with a brand-new kit to match their energy and enthusiasm."

Soanes Poultry's MD, Ben Lee said:"As one of the areas' biggest employers, we like to support community initiatives where we can, so we're pleased to support Driffield AFC U7 Blues as they set out on their first season.

The U7 Blues are just one of 17 mini and junior teams that the Great Driffield AFC club fields most weeks throughout the season.They play 5 aside at this age, with rolling subs. Games are 10 minutes each way and they play two games at each fixture.

The club was founded as Driffield Juniors in 2002 and is an FA Accredited Club thatendeavours to offer the best development to all its players.

Soanes Poultry is a family-owned business which has been rearing and preparing chicken since 1947. It employs 120 people and sells its chicken to butchers and independent retailers in Yorkshire and to wholesalers nationwide.
