Q-Park and Payzone announce technology-led partnership

Q-Park and Payzone announce technology-led
partnership

Q-Park has announced a strategic technology integration agreement with Payzone, Ireland's largest consumer payments network. This agreement will see Payzone provide seamless entry and exit across Q-Park car parks nationwide, facilitating automatic payment for registered users of their parking mobile application.

Payzone Ireland is known/renowned for providing both public and private-sector organisations with a secure, integrated payment infrastructure. They focus on the customer journey, supporting accessible and convenient payment options for consumers across a wide range of goods and services. Payzone brings over 14 years of cashless parking experience and extensive knowledge of the electronic transaction industry. They have partnerships with many local authorities and car park operators to provide their services for on-street parking and surface car parks across the country using their mobile app instead of pay and display machines.

Last year, Q-Park launched PaSS (Parking as a Smart Service), a new innovative parking management system across their parking facilities in Ireland. This new Q-Park innovation combines ANPR parking technology and seamless integration with third-party apps and systems.

Payzone customers can opt-in to park in Q-Park car parks using their Payzone parking account. When they enter a Q-Park car park, their vehicle registration is recognised by the ANPR cameras, and the parking transaction begins. On exit of the car park, the transaction ends and the payment is deducted from their Payzone account. This partnership allows Payzone customers to avail of cash-free, touch-free, and ticket-free parking.

John Denton, Head of Commercial at Q-Park UK & Ireland commented ‘We are delighted to announce this agreement with Payzone to revolutionise how off-street parking payments work across Ireland. We look forward to this integration going live shortly.'

Ciara Donovan, Head of Parking, Payzone Ireland said ‘At Payzone, we are continuously looking for ways to innovate our existing offering, and integrating with Q-Park's PaSS system allows us to elevate our solution further. Our agreement with Q-Park directly aligns with our mission to make every day easier for our customers. We're delighted to partner with Q-Park and look forward to our customers availing of this new service in the coming weeks.'
