Snugpak is the UK's leading sleeping bag and insulated clothing manufacturer, and they also produce a comprehensive collection of bushcraft-ready products, offering protection, comfort and even a touch of luxury to fit all terrains and weather conditions that the British countryside can throw at you.
TheIonosphere (SRP £214.00)is a two-pole, one-door compact tent, expertly designed for overnight adventures. Packing down to a weight of just 1200g, the Ionosphere has a two-pole, easy to pitch design, with the tent forming a hooped shelter that keeps condensation build-up to a minimum. The inner tent is made of a No-See-Um Mesh Mosquito Net which will not only keep out bugs, but can also be used without the fly as a stand-alone mosquito shelter/barrier in the summer months and in warmer climates. The Ionosphere's 5000mm hydrostatic head polyurethane coated fly sheet with taped seams will shelter you from all but the most inclement weather, and its impressive floor space means ample room for a single person with some equipment.
For an even more compact sleeping set-up, theStratosphere bivvi shelter (SRP £204.00)is Snugpak's super-light one-person shelter with a single skin design. The Stratosphere is an easily pitched, classic bivvi shelter with a self-supporting canopy around the head and shoulders, allowing increased breathability and movement while giving protection from the elements. As with the Ionosphere, the entry features a No-See-Um Mesh Mosquito Net, which can be rolled away when not in use, and access is easy via the 3/4 length side zip. There is also a mesh covered vent behind the head area for improved air circulation.
The Stratosphere's lightweight, single skin design is waterproof and breathable, with an impressive 5000mm hydrostatic head. Its waterproof PU coated flysheet, taped seams, and 8000mm (HH) waterproof PU coated bathtub-style groundsheet provide superb protection from the elements. Weighing only 1.1kg (2.2lbs) in its included compression sack, the Stratosphere is perfect for when a lightweight and small pack size is essential.
