New OIA Board Members appointed
The OIA is very pleased to welcome two new members, Carly Czuba and Robert Birrell, to its Board.
Carly Czuba is Group Marketing Director for JD Outdoor, looking after a range of brands including GO Outdoors, Blacks, Millets, and Ultimate Outdoors. Carly brings a wealth of experience in outdoor product marketing, having worked at Go Outdoors as Marketing Director since 2014, and as JD Outdoor's Group Marketing Director since 2019.
Rob Birrell is the recently appointed Managing Director of AMG Group, and has stepped up to the Board from his former position as Vice-Chairman of the OIA Development Board. Rob has a combined twenty years of outdoor and fashion industry experience; that, coupled with ski performance and outdoor activity coaching, has given Rob a great insight into the industry. Being involved in everything from company strategy through product development, purchasing, brand building and marketing a varied portfolio of brands and kit has cemented his passion for bringing innovation to the outdoor market.
OIA Board Chairman Nick Giles OBE commented, "I'm really pleased, as are the whole Board, to welcome Carly and Rob to the OIA team. They both bring with them a huge range of experience and knowledge of our sector, and a genuine passion for the outdoor market, and I look forward to working with them in the coming years".
Carly and Rob's appointments come after two Board members, Stephen Newlands, Chairman of AMG Group, and Lee Bagnall, CEO of JD Outdoor, stepped down after several years of loyal service to the OIA Board.
