FEM brings induction cooking where it’s needed with new countertop Sirman induction hobs

Sirman countertop induction hobs are an easy way to introduce the benefits of induction cooking into a foodservice operation without huge capital outlay or specialised installation processes. FEM (Foodservice Equipment Marketing) has launched three new Sirman countertop induction hobs into the marketplace bringing induction cooking within the range of most kitchens.  These units are also suitable for front-of-house cooking stations. 

Induction is becoming increasingly popular as a precisely controllable, fast and energy-efficient cooking option. There is no need to heat up an induction hob before use and it only operates when the pan is on the hob. The three sizes of new Sirman induction hobs give options for expanding the induction cooking set-up as needed.

All three induction hobs are easy to install on any suitable working surface in kitchens,

restaurants or dining rooms. As they use a 13A plug they really can be sited anywhere. Their low profile, streamlined design is equally suited to front- or back-of-house. They have a high visibility LED and IP67 touch control display. For safety, there is double control of the temperature and power supply. Easy to use and clean, they have a tempered glass cooking surface.

There are two single induction units in the range, the 2.7kw model measures 323 (w) x 370 (d) x 105 (h) mm and the 3.5kw model measures 330 (w) x 425 (d) x 105 (h) mm. There is also a double hob 3.5kw version measuring 390 (w) x 720 (d) x 130 (h) mm for busier sites.

List price starts at £370.00 for the 2.7kw countertop induction hob. All are supplied with a one-year back-to-base parts and labour warranty.
