HOPE not hate reacts to Andrew Bridgen joining Reclaim Party
HOPE not hate, the UK's leading campaign group against the far-right, reacts to Andrew Bridgen's announcement that he has joined Lawrence Fox's Reclaim Party.
Georgie Laming, Director of Campaigns at HOPE not hate said:
"The Reclaim Party, founded by Lawrence Fox, stokes culture wars and spreads dangerous conspiracy theories.
With Andrew Bridgen joining Reclaim Party, they now have the ability to use Parliament as a platform for their hate-fuelled and conspiracy-driven politics.
Bridgen was kicked out of the Conservative Party for comparing COVID vaccines to the Holocaust. Being welcomed by Reclaim is completely unsurprising.
Reacting to Bridgen saying "Parliament is working for another master", Georgie Laming, Director of Campaigns at HOPE not hate said:
"These words are conspiracy-laden, fuelling ideas of shadowy elites controlling politics from afar."
