Mayor to reopen Otley garden centre following change of ownership

 

Directors at a Yorkshire garden centre group have invited their local mayor to reopen a garden centre they acquired last year.

 

Mayor of Otley, Cllr Linda Hoare,will cut the ribbon to celebrate the reopening of Otley Garden Centre, one of four owned by Yorkshire Garden Centres, at 9.30 am on 22ndApril.

 

Yorkshire Garden Centres MD Mark Farnsworth is looking forward to showing Cllr Hoare the changes that have been made since the group acquired the former Stephen H Smith's centre on Pool Road: "We're proud of the changes we have made at Otley, from the refurbished plant area and new look Hattie's Kitchen to the relocation of popular concession, Edinburgh Woollen Mill and the opening of Hearty's Food Hall. We are delighted that Cllr Hoare has taken time out of her busy schedule to come and cut the ribbon for us.

 

"To celebrate the official opening, we are giving all customers a pack of vouchers they can redeem throughout May and June. We have also put together a range of exclusive offers for the official opening weekend, so all our visitors can join in the celebrations."

Cllr Hoare, invited local ward councillors and members of local gardening group will enjoy a tour of the centre and refreshments in Hattie's Kitchen after the ribbon has been cut.

The Yorkshire Garden Centres family comprises Tong, Tingley, Otley and Bingley Garden Centres.
